  VetScan VS 2

VetScan VS2™

Clinical chemistry, electrolytes, immunological tests
and blood gases - all in a single device

The VetScan VS2™ is a fully automatic analytical device for the measurement of clinical chemical and immunological parameters as well as of electrolytes. Different parameters are grouped in analytical profiles. With only 100 µl of whole blood, the VetScan VS2™ measures up to 14 different parameters in less than 10 minutes.

Consumables

VetScan VS2™ uses reagent rotors where parameters are grouped according to  indication-related diagnostic profiles. The VetScan VS2™ can measure clinical chemistry parameters, electrolytes and immunological tests.
Each reagent rotor contains all of the reagents needed to carry out a complete sample analysis.

Comprehensive Diagnostic Profile

ALB, ALP, ALT, AMY, BUN, CA, CRE, GLOB, GLU, K+, NA+, PHOS, TBIL, TP

The Comprehensive Diagnostic Profile generates an all-inclusive diagnostic screening with all important clinical chemistry parameters including electrolytes. The price-performance ratio is particularly attractive with 14 different parameters.

Indications:
General screening, preventive check-up, geriatric profile

Prep Profile II

ALP, ALT, BUN, CRE, GLU, TP

The Prep Profile II is used for targeted control of the most important organ-related clinical chemistry parameters.

Indications:
Preoperative profile, especially for young and apparently healthy patients, course monitoring

T4/Cholesterol

T4, CHOL

The T4/Cholesterol Profile is a thyroid gland screening profile. Based on the measurement range geared especifically to veterinary medicine, this profile can be used both in examinations for suspected hypothyreosis in dogs and for diagnosis of hyperthyreosis in cats.

Indications:
Thyroid gland screening, course monitoring of thyroxine substitution (dogs), course monitoring of hyperthyreosis therapy (cats)

Critical Care Plus

ALT, BUN, CL-, CRE, GLU, K+, NA+, tCO²

This rotor is ideal for monitoring hospitalized patients in critical condition. In addition to important organ-related clinical chemistry parameters, the electrolytes potassium, sodium and the parameter tCO² are measured to control the acid-base balance.

Indications:
Intensive care patients, hospitalized patients, suspected disturbances of electrolyte and/or acid-base balance

Mammalian Liver Profile

ALB, ALP, ALT, BA, BUN, CHOL, GGT, TBIL

The Mammalian Liver Profile covers all the important parameters of hepatic metabolism. It can even be used to check on hepatic function when performed in combination with a bile acid stimulation test. We recommend the Avian/Reptilian Profile Plus to measure bile acids in reptiles and birds.

Indications:
Hepatic diseases, bile acid stimulation test

Avian/Reptilian Profile Plus

ALB, AST, BA, CA, CK, GLOB, GLU, K+, NA+, PHOS, TP, UA

The group of parameters in the Avian/Reptilian rotor checks hepatic and renal function as well as electrolyte balance.

Indications:
Routine check-up, preoperative examination and emergency diagnostics in bird and reptile patients

Equine Profile Plus

ALB, AST, BUN, CA, CK, CRE, GGT, GLOB, K+, NA+, tCO², GLU, TBIL, TP

The Equine Profile Plus is used to check the most important organ-related clinical chemistry parameters in horses. The electrolytes potassium and sodium as well as the parameter tCO² are included in the Equine Profile making it ideal for regular health check-ups in competitive equestrian sports.

Indications:
Routine check-up, health checks for performance dropoff, pre-purchase health check

Large Animal Profile

ALB, ALP, AST, BUN, CA, CK, GGT, GLOB, MG, PHOS, TP

The Large Animal Profile provides the basis for all-inclusive diagnostics and prognostics as well as a rapid therapeutic decision. The parameters calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and creatine kinase are used above all for reliable clarification of the causes of bovine parturient paresis.

Indications:
General screening, parturient paresis
